Jon grew up in Houston, Texas and graduated from Klein Forest High School. In 2000, he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to study Economics at Vanderbilt University where he also sat on the Vanderbilt University Programming Board, was very active as an instructor for the American Red Cross, and took the opportunity to study international finance at Universitat Regensburg in Regensburg, Germany.
After graduation, Jon launched a marketing company to support Houston high schools and their fundraising efforts. He started his career in the financial industry as a personal advisor at Ameriprise Financial and joined Wallstreet Texas as Vice President - Investment Services in 2008. Jon specializes in building and protecting real asset wealth for the GLBT community in Texas.
As an active participant in the Houston community, Jon enjoys volunteering for The Human Rights Campaign and The Houston Federal Club. He is an advid runner and swimmer, and is currently training to swim the English Channel.
